Press Release

Houston, December 2006 Chroma Energy announces creation of GeoPatterns Technology, L.L.C.

Chroma Energy Inc. announces the formation of a fully-owned subsidiary to include all its activities in the geoscience technology and services sector, under the name of GeoPatterns Technology, L.L.C.  GeoPatterns Technology is a Houston-based geoscience software and service company utilizing pattern recognition and visualization technology to enable upstream E&P companies to efficiently and effectively analyze 3-D seismic data in their quest to find and develop additional oil and natural gas reserves.

GeoPatterns utilizes its proprietary and patented ChromaVisionTM and ChromaPatternsTM technology, as well as other commercially available software, to efficiently generate high quality oil and gas prospects and optimize hydrocarbon reserves.

Major inroads have taken place in the past few years with regards to reservoir recovery and exploitation.  Risk reduction and uncertainty analysis are critical components in these endeavours. GeoPatterns will aspire to enhance seismic exploration and exploitation while reducing dry-hole risk in this growing segment of the exploration and production environment.

"The full operational autonomy of GeoPatterns Technology will allow it to focus on the development of innovative technology while assuring the quality of its services" says Andrew Peloso, COO of GeoPatterns.

"The hunt for hydrocarbons is driven by pattern recognition and GeoPatterns has an outstanding opportunity to lead this market with its patented technology combining a geological and geophysical approach to seismic interpretation" declared C.T.O. Steven Carlson.
